We used standard and flexible SLA materials to check the fit of several components. Once the fit was approved, the SLA models were painted for a marketing demo.

Because the projected sales volume for this project was low, the cost for production tooling would be difficult to absorb. Rapid tooling was more than $100,000 cheaper and five weeks faster than a production timeline and budget would have been. The components were tooled and delivered in three weeks. The tools were modified due to design changes and are currently being used for production.
