The Headset for Low-Volume Production

We used standard and flexible SLA materials to check the fit of several components. Once the fit was approved, the SLA models were painted for a marketing demo.

Because the projected sales volume for this project was low, the cost for production tooling would be difficult to absorb. This 7 part tooling package was quoted at over $250,000 using Class A production tooling methods with a 12 week lead time. VistaTek completed this package in 3 weeks for under $30,000.

25,000+ parts were run off this tool over 4-5 years until a new product was introduced.
