Here are a variety of tinted-transparent materials all shot from an aluminum tool.
This part was over-molded. The grey material is a ABS/Polycarbonate blend
and the blue over-mold material is Santoprene. These parts are used for
low-volume production and shot from a 1+1 family aluminum mold.
These parts were made from an Aluminum tool and shot over 40,000 parts out
of ABS. This tool was used as a "bridge tool" while the production tool was
being built.
This meter was made from a 1+1+1+1 family aluminum tool. The clear lens was
made from Polycarbonate and the other three parts were made from colored
ABS. Again these tools are used in low-volume production.
